In a telco with potential participants this morning Scott Morris, Program Director, IBM Domino Development, invited DNUG members once more to join the the CDL Tour this October: The ICS Division is expanding to China, but also present with teams in India, Ireland, Israel, US, ...
Skilled people are engaged for an exploding and exciting technology - including solutions for collaboration & communication around the world - like Notes/Domino, Connections, Sametime, ...: 4.000 of them are developers in the world class development lab in Beijing. As a person born and grew up in Beijing/Peking, please don't hesitate to ask me any questions regarding my hometown/the mega city ;--)).

In March, Ludwig and I have visited the Lab and met the director, Tom Doucher. He welcomes all DNUG members to Beijing. Scott Morris, familiar to many, a veteran of Domino, is also currently stationed in Beijing Lab. We are all connected again.

 

In diesem Jahr gibt es ein neues Ziel für die Lab Tour der DNUG Mitglieder: Das IBM China Development Lab (CDL) in Peking.

Wir laden Sie sehr herzlich ein, sich diese attraktive Gelegenheit nicht entgehen zu lassen!

Im China Development Lab findet inzwischen die komplette Entwicklung von IBM Domino statt. Auch IBM Notes wird zum Teil hier weiter entwickelt. Das Programm wird den Teilnehmern der Tour Gelegenheit geben, sich im Detail über die Strategie und die neuen bzw. noch in Planung befindlichen Features für die zukünftigen Notes/Domino Versionen zu informieren. Die Integration mit dem gesamten Portfolio der IBM Collaboration Solutions spielt eine weitere wichtige Rolle.

 

 

 

Es wird interessant sein, Aufbau und Arbeitsweise des IBM CDL kennen zu lernen. Zur Attraktivität der Reise werden außerdem ein Besuch der Tsinghua University, eine Tour durch das Peking Silicon Valley und nicht zuletzt Eindrücke von Peking als Hauptstadt der Volksrepublik China beitragen.

Als Termin steht die Woche ab dem 9. Oktober 2013 zur Diskussion. Tragen Sie sich schon jetzt als Interessent/in für die Tour ein. Deadline für die Voranmeldungen, deren Zahl wie immer über das Zustandekommen des Vorhabens entscheidet, ist der 1. Juli 2013.
